Operating Instructions:
- The device turns on automatically, centrally, along with other entertainment elements in the MOTIO center.
- Before the game, players take two to four table positions, depending on how many people are available for the game.
- If not, all positions are occupied, the game can still begin. Inactive stations do not affect gameplay.
- If someone joins mid-game, they start at a disadvantage, as opponents may have already scored points.
- A single person can also play alone to train their reflexes.
- Any player can start the game by pressing their button. The central light turns on. Players wait for the light to go out.
- The first player to react and press their button earns a glowing point in their color. The central lamp also lights up in their color.
- If anyone presses too early, they are eliminated from the round. Their color disappears from the lamp.
- If another player also presses prematurely, their color disappears too. Up to three or four players can eliminate themselves in a “domino effect.”
- The central light turns off at random intervals, so quick reflexes are key.
- The first player to reach 5 points wins the game.
- After 5 seconds, the results reset, and the exhibit is ready for a new round.
- In DEMO mode, the four player buttons (red, blue, yellow, green) and the central lamp flash alternately to attract attention.
Interactivity:
This exhibit playfully tests each participant’s reflexes, movement coordination, decision-making speed, and resistance to forced errors.
Quick players can shine, while slower ones can observe and improve their strategy. The activity also promotes team bonding through shared experience.
Educational Value – Exhibit Concept:
Reflex – faster than thought.
The task must be completed only after certain conditions are met, and the correct behavioral pattern is crucial.
A person can respond to the technical cues of the game, or be influenced by others and react too early.
This is not just interaction with technology, but also a display of group competitive behavior, which doesn’t always lead to success.
This game tests not only how fast your reactions are, but also your ability to concentrate deeply and focus absolutely on the task at hand.
Try it out at the Reaction Challenge Table – for up to four players. Everyone plays for themselves.
