Operating Instructions

Provided in separate attachments, divided into three categories based on difficulty level. Printed versions are available at the workstations.

Interactivity

This exhibit consists of a construction kit that allows visitors to assemble one of several transport-themed models, each including a programmable unit. Using a tablet or laptop, the visitor creates a simple code in an easy-to-use app and uploads it to the assembled robot.

Each model comes with a set of challenges related to transportation and beyond. These sets also include detailed explanations of how technology simplifies everyday life. Examples of questions explored:

  • How does an autonomous train work?
  • Can I program a traffic light myself?
  • How does a pedestrian crossing with a touch button operate?
  • Can I build a parking sensor for a car?

All these questions are answered through programmable construction kits.

Educational Significance

Through playful interaction with programmable kits, visitors learn how modern technologies can be used not only in transportation but also in everyday life – on the way to school, work, or the store. They discover how vehicles and systems can operate “on their own” without human control.

By assembling models from basic building blocks, visitors also practice fine motor skills and develop creativity, as the models can be built in multiple ways. Just as importantly, exploring seemingly complex systems opens the door to advanced technologies for younger visitors – potentially influencing their future career choices.
