ELLIPSIS

Ellipsis has two focal points.

One of the features of the ellipsis, that comes from its construction is, that an object, or a wave, that moves from one focal point always bounces from the other focal point. At the same time, the length of the trajectory that the object travels is still the same. This knowledge is frequently used, for example, in celestial mechanics, because celestial objects move in elliptical orbits.
